Are you interested in hosting a group of CAGIS participants and teaching them about what you do?
CAGIS events typically are 1.5 to 2 hours in length and occur on a weekend or weeknight after school. Events often occur at the workplace of the host to give the participants a behind-the-scenes view of science, technology, trades, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in action. When a workplace is not conducive to hosting a group of youth, the chapter can book a room for the event instead.
Events typically include some information about the host’s area of expertise and fun, hands-on activities. CAGIS chapter volunteers will discuss the outline and contents of the event with you and can help brainstorm activities if needed, to ensure that the event is engaging and age-appropriate.
