Have you ever wondered what makes you, you? Even with almost 8 billion people on Earth, every single person is unique! That is all thanks to DNA — the blueprint for life in every living thing! To study DNA, scientists have to extract it from cells. At this event, you will get to try extracting the DNA from a strawberry and discover the lab techniques used for this process. Our guest experts from Science FUNdamentals McMaster will lead us through this fun activity, and help us learn more about the exciting field of genetics!
This event is for girls, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming youth.
