Get Involved with CAGIS
Are you looking for ways to get involved with CAGIS and support girls and gender nonconforming youth in science, technology, trades, engineering, and math (STEM)? We have plenty of volunteer opportunities for you!
Be a STEM Expert: Join our database of STEM experts! You may be consulted for your knowledge about a particular topic, serving on a panel, or being featured as a role model.
Host an Event: Join our database of event hosts! CAGIS holds regular virtual and in-person* events with fun, hands-on activities led by STEM experts.
Become a CAGIS Volunteer: Work with us regularly to support girls and gender nonconforming youth in STEM. CAGIS has regular virtual and in-person* volunteer opportunities that range from helping with activities and supervision at events, to helping chapters plan and organize monthly events.
Be a Teen Ambassador (ages 13-17): Teens aged 13-17 can apply to the CAGIS Teen Ambassadors Program for an opportunity to become a role model to other kids and teens in CAGIS Virtual sessions, work on special projects, and more! Apply by 9 pm ET on August 15 for the 2021-2022 year.
Start a CAGIS Chapter (local club): If your community is missing from our list of chapters, you can work with us to start your own! CAGIS chapters are run by groups of volunteers (or sometimes local organizations) who meet regularly to plan monthly events for their members. Volunteer teams are diverse and include post-secondary students, STEM professionals, parents, teachers, and more.
Donate funds or in-kind resources: We are grateful to our sponsors and supporters who generously provide monetary in-kind support. These donations allow us to provide girls and gender nonconforming youth with high quality, low-cost inspirational programming.
Did we miss something? If you have a special skill set you would like to share with us, or you would like to get involved in other ways, email us to let us know!
*CAGIS Chapters are operating virtually temporarily because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
