Join us for this extremely fun collaboration between Ocean Networks Canada (ONC) and CAGIS Victoria!

From the food we eat to the air we breathe to the weather we experience, the ocean touches us all, every single day. This engaging ocean science learning opportunity will raise awareness among young people about the crucial role that Canada’s three oceans play in their lives, contributing food, transportation, jobs, identity and culture.

Through games, experiments and hands-on activities, we will explore some of the key societal outcomes from the United Nations Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development as well as introduce the seven principles of Ocean Literacy, all while building a deeper understanding of how the ocean affects us all. Youth will also be invited to check out career profiles from real life ocean scientists and explorers.
